SDVLP's mission is to provide free legal assistance to indigent residents of San Diego County through a paid staff and pro bono volunteer attorneys, law firms, and law students. SDVLP is an IOLTA funded program, with eligibility criteria required of IOLTA pro bono programs. Services are provided through a variety of legal clinics held at various locations, including three courthouses, churches, and community-based agencies. Most services are legal advice or brief legal assistance, with the more complex cases accepted for ongoing representation. Most initial intake is conducted at the various clinics, and representation cases are selected by staff at these clinics. |
